About The Charro Foundation

The Charro Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which supports our community, youth, schools and educators in a variety of ways. We develop and support programs that serve to educate and inform - to improve the quality of resources available to our community.

Through a number of programs, we recognize and award students and teachers who at all times 'give it their best.' The Charro Foundation provides scholarship funds to high school seniors pursuing a Bachelor's in Education, as well as teachers wishing to obtain their Master's degree in Education. The recipients of our scholarships are recognized at an annual banquet, during which dozens of educators and students are also honored for their commitment to educational excellence.

The Charro Foundation additionally seeks to support our youth by funding a diverse group of charities and community organizations which share our passion to build a better future for our children. The Charros work closely with, and provide funding to, dozens of organizations to achieve our goals. Please see the "Our Partners" section of this site for a list of the organizations with whom we have collaborated.

The programs of The Charro Foundation are supported by corporate and individual sponsorships, donations, and by the community service of The Scottsdale Charros.

Its membership is comprised of 40 active volunteers and more than 180 lifetime volunteers, who are dedicated to raising money to support the programs of The Charro Foundation.
